I really wish somebody would upgrade this system so we can post pics right from the hard drive without uploading them into the gallery, then copying and pasting them into a thread. It just takes too long and I have to keep erasing pics from my gallery to show you guys 1 time shots. It's not that it's difficult, it's just time consuming and I'd like to save my gallery for big fish or nice limit pics.

If you have the pics hosted,, their URL should easily be linked in your thread here I think????

Sponsoring members can do this today on our system without an upgrade. If we allowed everyone to post pictures by attachments, it would bring our system to a crawl.

I still do not understand this part. If the picture is being hosted on another site then how does it slow down the M-S system?

Nice pics. Looks like a fun day to be out in nature. Only took a couple of minutes to register.

Is it true americans don't need to report to customs to spend some time on the island?

I always wanted to go but afraid to step foot on canadian soil.

Technically you are supposed to call in before you go. But I see alot of American boats go for a quick visit and have never seen anybody get bothered. ;)

I pulled up and beached my boat a few years back. I was going to jump in and scrub the bottom of my hull. Before I could jump out of the boat the OPP who was standing theer told me to get out of the boat and join him on the beach. I jumped out and introduced myself as instructed. He asked if I had declared my landing. I said I thought that is what we were doing? He said that you have to declare at a marina on the main land prior to landing on the island. I said ok I'll go take care of that. After all he basically helped me beach the boat, and I thought that he was going to declare me?? Oh well I thanked him and told him I would be right back after declaring. He said it was too late and wrote me a ticket. (payable on the spot.) And told me I should be happy he is not talking me to jail and impounding my boat?? The guy helped me beach my boat for crying out loud! After taking care of his ticket I asked about declaring and coming back to wash my boat. He told me that I didn not need to declare and it would be ok for me to wash my boat now without declaring. Only bad experience I have ever had with OPP or ODNR.
