Are there places on Anchor bay that a wading fisherman can get to and some luck? I have been out to Harsens and that is a lot of fun but I'm looking for something just a little bit closer that I can run to after work. Wadable places on the West side of St Clair would be helpful also. Any help would sure be appreciated. St Clair is a big Lake and I don't even know where to start.
What are the Ice conditions out there? Is there a place you can check online?

The only place I know of that You can still get on the ice is the Dnr launch at fairhaven, just west of Palms road. I fished out there yesterday evening. You have to weedout a bunch of small perch but You will get a meal. Good luck Rick
It's very shallow by shore at any of the access points. Jump in and go for a stroll. At selfridge, head north or west, not South. From Palms Road, don't try to get to the big point just east of you (Swan Creek) but you can wade to just west of the point. The area from the New Baltimore city park westward is a great wade, with a ton of pilings to fish.

I took a drive out to Metro Beach yesterday to look at the lake before dinner and there was a guy wading off of the beach area. I spotted him with my binoculars from the day sail area and by the time I decided to walk over there to see how he was doing he had left. It looked like he was about 200 yards or so off of shore.
