O-k this might sound whimpy but it is something I've been wondering about.
I have a pair of neopreme chest waders that hve been hanging in my garage unused for the past 3 or so years.
My concern?
Brown recluse spiders.
I guy I know in a neighboring town was bitten by one over a year ago.
He is still dealing (suffering) from its effects.
Is there any way I can check for these bad boys before I jump into them?
These are boot type so turning them inside out isn't a option.

fill em' up with water!!

Where are you located, unless you work at a lumber yard with wood being delivered from down south you should be safe.

Roosta,

Throw a handful of mothballs down each of the legs and give it a day or two!

You should be able to roll the uppers down close to the boot area. Wear some gloves and a long shirt. Take you vaccum cleaner and suck out each leg and boot.
I think you would be more likely to find mice than brown recluse.

I couldn't agree with you more. Here is a graphic photo of the results of a brown recluse bite, ten days after. :( That's some nasty venom.
