I usually live trap about 5 or 6 opposum a year. They are really easy to trap, I use whatever I have available to bait them into the trap, meat or fish has seemed to work the best. I have even used dog food.
Be patient, it might take a few days to trap them, are they stealing the bait? Check the tension on the trip plate, and adjust it pretty light.

I seemed to be pretty good at catching them in what I thought were fox and coyote sets!!

Box traps set with pizza scraps will work.
Please don't relocate the possums, dispatch them and bury the carcasses.
