Question for you guys that posted. I've been doing some research and found that the 22-250 have been shooting "hot" and guys I've emailed down south have gone through a few barrels because of this.
Have almost decided on the .204 instead.
First: what type of loads are you using? Grain? Bullets?
Second: Have you experienced any negatives with the 22-250.
Third: I'm a lefty, so when I do buy, I've got to get something that
fits my side.
THANKS!

Im shooting i believe 55 grain barnes burner bullets... not sure what the powder loads i am shooting are. they are hand loads.... the winchester factory 40 count box ammo shoots semi decent out of my ruger #1 but the handloads are crazy awesome i can shoot sweet groups with them. I have put quiet a few loads threw my 22-250 not sure how many but my barrel seems to be fine..
I am also left handed and the ruger number 1 is a single shot rifle so its kind of built for left or right handers and shoots amazing.... you can check out the pics in my photos.

Nice, have one in 220 Swift pushing 60grs, long range killer. ~~ Never understood the need for HOT loads that many seem to be using, though I've been guilty of fiddling with them. Between start and max loads you may only gain 5% in speed but pressure will increase 10% if not much much more. Don't think varmints know the difference if hit at 3500 or 3700fps.

with 2 22-250s, Have 40gr Sierra blitzkings [AA-2520, IMR-4064] and 36gr Barnes Varmint grenades [AA-2520], and 50 gr Hornady V-max [Varget]. If I get a good one [vs my 55gr Nosler BT load] I may try to work more chucks over with the M-70 HB Varmint or Savage 11F 22-250s instead of the 204 or 243s.
