Ok I am new to the sport of duck hunting, a few seasons under my belt, But seriously.... is the season almost here yet???

I Look at my calls on my wall, My waders, Thinking of how (my friend and I are going to rid our duck boat this year)

All I keep thinking about is the moment the clock strikes the minute of opening day...Shoot the entire day itself, Waking up early, getting all geared up, Dog in his vest, guns/ammo/dekes/ and calls in hand...And Finally having the first group come in... I got the bug, and what still 6 months away....

Anyone else with these symptoms??

I was like that the day the last season ended.Last night was too much for me,watching returning flights dump into the flooded woods behind my house.I took a couple calls out and started talking to them and man were they answering....felt good to hear the clucks and quacks, wings whistling and the dog whining...boy I can't wait:D

That is why I call waterfowing a disease. It will totally consume your day to day thought's. Reports say that men think about sex every three minutes or something like that, they must not be waterfowler's. I can hardly wait foe Sept 1!

Get your gun, put a extension on it and go out of state to blast some snows......Other then that just talk about the good hunts ya had this past seson........Mack

I am good at the moment I had a good time this season but I am ready to enjoy a little relaxing sport fishing for some reason my heart pumps like no other and I am on the edge of my seat all season!!!!

Wait till I get the new boat and start putting that together then I will be a duck hunter once again!

I can`t wait,it`s all I`ve ben thinking about !
I just bought a new mud buddy hd lite for my rig and I`m looking forward to running it.I`m giving my boat a new paint job also.
I also bought some blinds for goose hunting.(Thank`s again goosbustr).

When should I start looking for goose field`s to hunt?Should I wait untill June/July or should I look now? Will the geese I see in the field`s now still be there come Sept.?

I feel your pain. Every time a flight a of geese comes overhead at 25 yards, I lose it.

like you all, i to am infected and have been ever since i was 12. i love it more than whitetail hunting andi do all of those hunts bow, gun, blackpowder. and this easter i will be making my lund fisherman 18 footer into a duck blind for the hubbard lake diver blast season. i have the unistrut, emt and light wall conduit, clevis pins, square lock pins, bolts, and most of all the information that was given forth to me from this beyond ***great site*** and its members. who shall go nameless he knows who he is, thanks again i will post pictures after the job is done and all the phases.
and then after that is done or will it's being done i'll re-paint my fathers 1950-60 hearters cans and redheads and my 36 geese. last year i painted 24 bluebills and 48 mallards all by hand and brush painting. man was that a job and i loved every minute i spent doing it just thinking about that first duck that would decoy into my set-up, what a ***major payoff***. oh yes, anyone thinking about painting your dekes try putting on a couple of coats of minwax-helmsman spar urethane this stuff is fantastic as it protects your paint job from chipping and gives it that natural sheen that ducks have and the crap from the marshes and lakes washes right off.
do you think i'am infected???? quack quack here little duckie quack quack

My Waterfowlin' never stops. If I'm not in my Duck blind or my X-Land'r Layout blind, I'm teaching the Dawg new stuff or reinforcing what he already knows.

Waterfowlin' is a life long affliction/disease. Especially if you have Dawgs that never let you forget about it,,, like mine. He's a "Fetchaholic"!:dizzy:
