I spend from Thursday to Sunday on AuSable fishing and the Hendricksons are on plus blackcaddis you would not believe. Finally had a light spinner fall on Sat night, caught some nice fish not lots but nice. The fish are being very selective, fished hendricsons from 16 to 12s, Have plenty of black caddis or green caddis size 18s and 16s. Emergers worked now and then. The water was actually up to 47 by Sunday from a low of 41 on thursday as I fished in the snow. Fishing was on the main stream from Stephans bridge down to Whipporwhill. South branch, foot hight few fish some flies, Northbranch some flies, very few fish.
tight lines, great fishing all

I was downstream from you then Forester, the Hens were comming off pretty good in the morning from the landing and I supected there could have been a nice spinner fall that evening. Water was not too bad for time of year. I tell you, I do not rember the caddis so darn heavy in these sections, I am going to have to start changing over to more caddis fishing like on Muskegon at this rate on the AuSable.
Keep those hooks sharp and the lines clean.
