Every spring I come up with different ideas on how to stow my harnesses on the boat, and by the end of the fishing season I am ready for a new method. What works good for you guys that is neat but easy to access? Any help would be great. Thanks.

I put mine in a ziploc bag-no more than 2 to a bag. It works okay.

Wrap them around a peice of pool noodle.

I put mine in 2"x3" bags that I got at gibalter trade center (3 bucks for a 100)

Leave the loop hanging out....just clip it on and open the bag.

Then I take all the little bags and store them in a BPS worm bag....according to style and color (well at least I try too anyways  ) Could probably fit 200 harnesses in there.

That reminds me....Need to get my kack out out of the garage and start working on them!!

I tried all of these mentioned so far, and I currently have them in bags held together with binder clips. I like the Idea of keeping them in the BP worm bag. Thanks for the ideas.

Wrap them around a peice of pool noodle.

I also use the swim noodles. They work well, and are cheap. I cut several 3/8 inch deep cuts around the perimeter of mine about 3/4 inches apart using a razor kinfe. The harnesses wrap up nicely in these grooves. I cut the noodles to a length that will fit into a storage box, about a foot long.:)

pool noodle no need for cuts in it. take a few paper clips and cut them down to make "U"'s to secure the loop end of the harness. easy to put away easy to take off and makes it easy to look over your selection.

Another vote for the pool noodles! Instead of the paper clips go to any craft store and pick up t-pins. I store my noodles in a tupperwear latching container, I have enough room for eight noodles and have over 100 harnesses.

Michaels (craft store) has very nice small plastic zip lock bags in various sizes. cheap.

pool noodles got my vote. works great for storing my dipsey leaders also.

I baught some foam cylinders( same as pool noodles) from a bait shop around the lake, and the only problem with them was the grooves wern't spaced out enough causing the harnesses to tangle all the time. I think I will stick with the plastic bag trick.

Pipe insulation works also and is smaller than the noodles.

Pipe insulation cut to 8-10" pieces, than 3 or 4 of them in a ziplock bag.

I store all of my harnesses on Tackle Buddy tubes. They float, have storage inside for extra blades/hooks/etc. and they're reasonably priced considering that they are just about indestructible. Try the 2 1/2 inch size, it works great for leaders as well.

Franks in Linwood has the little bags, as do most craft shops! They come in several sizes, I like the size up from the 2x3, they user friendly'er if you got fat fingers like me! ;)

Good call Ed with the paper clips on the Noodle....I lost 2 of my Noodle with 10 harnesses each on them on my way back home from the river last year. This year when i make up my new ones, i will put a piece of broom handle in the hole in the center for some weight, so this doesnt happen again:banghead3

That is how I make my perch buoys. 2 lb sinker stands them straight up. 40 foot of 40 lb fishing line and an 8 oz pencil sinker. the sinker will store in a hole stuck in the swim noodle.

I use a soft side CD storage notebook, you can get them for 3-5 dollars and they hold like 50 CD's or in this case harnesses. Works real good just coil them up and slide them into one of the slots. You can see the different styles/colors and flip through them like a book until you find the ones you want.

Put mine by color in 2x3 bags then in a worm binder. Can store 150 of more in a 8x8x3 zippered binder. Very easy to store and transport.

Brent, how do you secure the loop end of the harness to the foam?

Paper clips work. use a wire cutter and you get 3 "u" shaped hooks out of one clip.

Tackle buddies and also swim noodles. Like some else said I lost two of the swim noodles out of my boat while trailering home one day. :( The next day on the way out to fish I found them again on the side of the road :) I didnt even know they were gone until I spotted them on the side of the road. We were driving by and I told my kid, :tdo12: "Hey that looks like my crawler harness's on the side of the road". We stopped and he ran back and grabbed them. SWEEEEET! I usually store them in a 5 gallon bucket to keep them organized. Thats when I went to the Tackle buddies.

I use a pool noodle that isnt flat all the way around. It looks like a flower on the end. i then cut slits in each of the bumps where the harnesses go. This allows you to slide the snap swivel right into the groove no matter where the leader ends.

I use the foam pipe wrap you can get at hardware stores, I cut them to fit into the slots of a plano 3700 box.

I place the end of the snell in the pre-cut slot of the foam and wrap the snell around the foam and finish by sticking the hooks in the foam.

I can store 12 snells per foam roll. A 3700 box holds 4 rolls, so 48 snells per box. It's an economical and easy to store system.

Brent, how do you secure the loop end of the harness to the foam?

A small finishing nail works radiohead, to hold the barrel swivel end to the foam.. Actually this picture was last winter not this past one, I just got done making some up this past weekend but I only have a noodle full of each color I like to run Green, red, Chrome and gold.. Always put away your noodles before taking off, even tho I have never lost any but I am sure if the wind gets ahold of them they will go Bye Bye...Cya Slick
