I was in Ireland a few years ago in the River Moy, trout and Salmon fishing. We caught quite a few of these perch (the biggest ones around 14-15 inches. They look like our perch, even have the sharp "stickers" behind their gills, but they don't taste like them, thats for sure! More like a Largemouth...very bland and mushy. But the trout and salmon on the other hand.......good stuff! :evil:

sorry but u will only find this size perch in europe, as with the yellow perch only in u.s. and canda...i think ours taste better from what i have read..
