pop up box

Steve, I'm not sure the problem is yours, but when I jump pages and go down to scroll (usually all in one motion) I get a pop-up box and an error message saying;

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

The box has nothing in it but in the header it says World Wide Web, so I don't know what it is or where it comes from. This started after you made changes to the board a few weeks ago and about the same time I upgraded(that's a joke) to AOL 6.0. Any thoughts?

Previous versions of AOL did not allow Java scripting. I do not know if the current 6.0 does (have not used AOL in a long time) Steve may be using Java scripts to create the pop-up advertising.
You would get a "scripts" error if the site was trying to perform a function in Java that you were not able to process. Basically you can ignore the message, it should not affect your ability to view much of the content of the boards.

We haven't really made any changes to the boards lately other than adding some (which doesn't change the software). Does this error occur everytime you load a page of our forums, or do you see the ads and the pages successfully other times?

I am hearing that there are a lot of problems with the new AOL 6.0 similar to the problems with Netscape 6.0. I don't recommend either of them for the time being. If you must use AOL, fire it up to get on your account then use IE 5.5 to browse the web.

Steve, It's been an an intermitent problem, so far this morning it has not happened. It only does it when I jump from one page to another.

Amos, you're right it doesn't really affect anything it's just annoying. I wish I wouldn't have dumped 5.0 when I upgraded I'd switch back.

Well I spoke too soon as soon as I jumped back to the main page it happeend 3 times. Oh well, thanks for the info guys.
