here are some pictures of my dad's 2006 Michigan elk. It is his first elk and he has been appluing since the drawing was started and finally got a tag for the fiorst hunt of 2006. We had a great guide, and the animal was taken 10 minutes before shooting hours ended on the second to last day of his hunt. it was a 5x6. here are some pictures of the mount he just got back. .

the mount was done by Mikes Taxidermy in Fife Lake. He does all of my and my dads mounts. He does awesome work and reasonably priced.

Nice bull, where was it taken at? And I'm hoping to get a tag sometime soon. Do you have the name of the guide?

The bull was taken near Vanderbilt, there were 2 guides, Dennis casselman, and his son. Dennis and my dad happend to have gone to high school together, and he and his son are both great guides, they really take pride in what they do, and worked their butts off to get my dad into some elk. i was there with him for a few days, and over the total 9 days, according to the GPS we walked over 82 miles, but it was well worth it for him to take this animal. Dennis has been doing this for a long time, and Will definantly satisfy anyone looking for a good animal. It was hotter than hell, and the animals were hard to get on, but as you can see it was a successful hunt. I am just awaiting my turn to draw a tag!
