We got the new one for the wife this afternoon after I saw your post,
we got it at lakeside Tackle, they claim the fee's are not going to change this year for fishing but will go up each year for the next 5 years to end up with the crazy fee's they have suggested, I suggest reading the sunday paper sports section if they are going up on Monday it will be in there.

I have heard of no bill being passed by the legislature raising the license fees. That has to be done and signed by the Jeeeeennnny before any increases can made.
Since All licenses went on sale Mar 1 I don't see any way they can make any changes until Mar 1, 2008

The report on the dnr website only says the license increases are proposed and no info on when or if they will go up is available

They are NOT going up Monday at 6am...or Tuesday or Wednesday.
The new Proposal is still being written....then they must find a Legislator to Sponsor it....then a Bill must be introduced, voted on, then signed by the Governor.
All this is not going to happen this weekend!!!
The sky is not falling.....your bait shops are misinformed.

good post ninja, yup, don't fear just go buy your license, you gotta do it anyway.. if you hunt buy your hunting license now, get your combo, small game, and fishing and i think you get 15% off all.

In Georgia they have a lifetime license that you can buy. I'd be up for that here. As a matter of fact, that's a good idea, isn't it! What do you others think?
