Late au sable Walleye action?

I asked a question in my last post about walleye and it got closed. When do the walleye start heading back to the lake. I was thinking my dad could maybe fish for them while I am after other species.

Do they Get the walleye near the mouth or further up the river say past Charbanaus?Spelling?

Max, I like to fish around the rock pilings along the pier extensions when the smelt are running. If you hit it just right the fishing can be really good!

Thanks Erik! I also like the north pier. Been told there is a nice hole off the end. Its a long walk but without a boat its the only way.:(
