Does/has anyone ever used these? http://cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0011851110700a&type=product&cmCat=search&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=no+knot&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=no+knot&noImage=0 Someone mentioned using them for ice fishing and when I picked them up at meijer they said "The fly fishermans friend". The only problem I can see is you might crush a fly putting it on or takin it off.

use them a lot for ice fishing. I don't think they would be much good for fly fishing would take a way from the fly I would think

ya i think the same. i'd tie the fly to the leader. this way each new fly has a new knot also.
I will sometimes use these on the end of a Tyger wire bite tippet so I can change flies as often as I feel like it without shortening the bite tippet.

Unless you are using some really expensive tippet I would just tie them on. It only takes a few seconds to do and you will know the quality of your knot each time, you never know with those little clips. Just my opinion;)
The loop of the wire clip also lets the fly swing more freely for a better presentation. ;)
