I packed away the ice fishin gear:( Cleaned out the garage and hung it all up. The season was too short. To those that are still toughin it out, be safe! Now I'm gettin the boat cleaned up and ready to rock! Look out wallies :D

I toughed it out today. Started out in front of Beacons Cove,, then made the move out to deeper water,, about a mile out. I was out there for about 45 minutes then I got scared:gaga: ,,LMAO. A big, thick bank of fog rolled in and I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. On top of that there was a very strange current that started up towards the bottom 2 FOW and it was going the opposite way of the wind.:SHOCKED: The ice was really weird,,, it wasn't "honeycombed". The best way I could describe it would be,, "chopsticked" and bumpy, it looked like millions of chopsticks melted into the top of the ice with all the bumps. Anyway,,, yesterday there was 15" of ice a mile out,,, today about 8 to 10"s :( Also saw 2 dead ducks on the ice,,, a nice hen ruddy and a drake ringneck. Not sure if they were hit by owls or hawks or what.
