Ice fishing in Hessel??

Hey guys, thinking about making the journey to Hessel in search of perch on the big water. Does anyone have any reports of ice or how the fishing is going? or any contact number up there would be appreciated.

My family has a cabin up in Cedarville and I have an uncle who lives on Hill Island. He has done quite well on the Perch up there. I don't think the numbers have been off the charts, but it has been much better recenly compared to the last 10-15 years. He has pulled in some nice sized ones too. 12-13 inchers. I will see him this weekend and I'll get some more specific information for you. I'll try to post saturday and sunday when I talk to him.

Thanks for the information. It's been years since I have tried for them up there. I know that last ice is best in Hessel. If you hear anything please let me know.
