I hit up Reeds Lake tonight and really enjoyed ice fishing in 65* weather. It took me a while to locate the fish, and then a little while longer to figure out what they wanted and how they wanted it.:lol: But once I did I caught about 10 crappie in the 8.5-10" range. I released all of them because I didn't feel like cleaning fish tonight. I fished from 9 to 11pm. Had a good time for sure.

Just an FYI, the boat launch by the public safety building is not useable. The other boat launch by Rose's is still good, kinda have to do a little hop to keep from getting too wet. Still solid 8", but I don't think it'll last too much longer if this weather keeps up.

Good luck and be safe if you go!

Joe

I'm glad you did better than me. I fished for a few hours in the late afternoon and got one perch. But like you said, it's great fishing in a t-shirt.

Ice is going very fast on the north end. Im not sure I would trust it for the weekend.

I'm glad someone took advantage of the nice weather! I had kid duty last night after work, so I believe my season's over.

I must say that I made the most out of last weekend on Reeds and ended up with about 3 meals worth of fish. For having such a long wait, the season actually ended up being quite good, so I can't bitch too much!:coolgleam

Take care...Sid
