Well it's getting to be that time of year again when you can get out some of those smaller caliber rifles and and do a little plinking. My brother though preffers to go a little bigger with the .243 and sitting back a little bit, but it's fun to watch how far he shoots them. I can always tell when it's going to be a good hunt, usually on the way to my prime chuck hunting ground i see chucks around people's farm or in soybean fields. On certien days there just like fish when their in their in. Well good luck to everyone that love hunting these guys as much as i do. I think a woodchuck tourinment wouldn't be that bad of an idea either!

Yeah the one guy is right, anything that you can hit them in the head with. If you were going to use a 22lr, i would suggest a lighter grain bullet like between 30 or 40 grains with a a good scope mounted on your rifle. Over all it's a cheap hobbie and good practice for you and your boy.

i just started bowhunting them. Its a great time spotting them and putting the stalk on. Pretty easy to get to 50 yards.....the rest is a different story. Its a ton of fun, and you can bowhunt places that are unsuitable for gunning

It's a Bushmaster Varminter with heavy fluted barrel, target crown, free floated barrel, and 2-stage trigger. Topped with a Leupold VX-II 6X18X40.
