Gull Lake Smelt?

I want to head over Gull Lake for smelt. Can someone out there give me directions and any current ice conditions. I will head over there tomorrow, Tuesday evening. Thank you in advance.

Head east on m89 about three miles past richland. Then 1 block north at marathon station. Tried to PM you, but your box is full.

I was over there last night, but did not go out due to shore ice. or should I say no shore ice. There was a pallet and a plank floating in the water, that some were using to get out to the ice. I'd say that it's about 8' from shore to ice. With todays temp and what's predicted for tommorrow not sure one can reach the ice without hip boots. Now this was out in the main lake where they have been catching them. Not sure of conditions in the bay, only saw 2 lights in the bay last night.

My Dad and I fished in the bay last night and managed to get 21 smelt between the two of us. We fished for about 2 1/2 hours. There was aprox. 5 1/2 inches of ice at the time but I'm sure more was lost today.
