Just an idea... since I am female, I might know a little more about this than you men.. ;)

Maybe we could set up a couple of tables at outdoor shows to raise money for the site? If you need any volunteers let me know. I might not be able to travel too far from my place - but a little. If you could find a couple of other volunteers...

At the tables you could have a few baked goods (like the bazzars) *cookies, cakes, breads*- venison jerky etc... could help you make a little profit - so you can keep the site up and going. This would help bring in newbies as well.

OR - how about a Hunters Club (something to that effect) - those who join can recieve special newsletters or something. For a small cost. Make sure you charge just enough to cover mailing materials - and a little profit.

Maybe next year, you can have a special big buck contest - but have entry fees *small fees, you dont want get too money hungry! ;) *

Let me know if you would like a little help. I am sure we could have a section where members could write stories for the newsletters - perhaps their hunting experience etc.

Hope, thanks for the suggestions. I have set this site up as what will hopefully be a money making business someday. Right now we do ok and break even on our costs. Because it is set up as a business and not a non-profit organization, I am reluctant to actively request people to help do things especially in the promotion of it and at outdoor shows. We will have a portion of a booth at the Michigan Deer and Turkey spectacular this year in February thanks to the great generosity of Salmonsmoker who will man the booth. I thank you all for your support. The best thing you can do for us is to view lots of pages (and ads) and buy stuff from our sponsors.

And spread the word: email, epostcards, word of mouth by the water cooler (I have actually never worked in a place that had an actual water cooler, :) but I tell everyone I know about this site) or by megaphone on a crowded street corner bustling with shoppers.
Keep up the great work Steve!
