It looks like I may be going to Cancun the third week of April. Has anybody fished there and would like to make any recommendations. Can you get a better deal by walking the docks? Also has anybody done the night trips for fishing? Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

i recommend going to deepseafishingcancun dot com. These are the guys I used when I went down there. It was Mid-March and we caught a mahi-Mahi, a small tuna, and had a huge sailfish following us for close to 2 miles. It was a great time, and my wife even liked going! Just make sure they dont booze you up too much on that water. most Charters in Mexico have a lot of alcohol on board, and that can turn your trip into a miseible one if you are not careful :)

I fished with this outfit, a couple years ago, and we had a great time. They will bottom fish; and will troll for billfish, Wahoo, and Mahi-Mahi. You can do both in one day if you want to. It was easy to find them, and the price was reasonable. Great crew - very nice.

We'll be there the 16th - 23rd. PM me if you want to. My wife and I have gone out with Aquaworld. Might like to try again this year. I'd like to hear what the best fishing options are. Maybe have a beer and discuss.:fish:

or my guide "buddy" who only fishes the lagoon side
both worth every penny - reasonably priced - honest - and FUN to fish with:fish: :fish2:

While you're on the topic, I'll be in Maui in May and would love to hire a charter. Any thoughts comments etc.

OK, this is going to sound like a crock, but it's true. If you go to the Royal Mayan pool bar, around 5, there is a guy named (I think)Tom, he's American, looks like Jimmy Buffet, he owns a unit there. Ask the bartender they'll know his name and location. He loves to fish and can hook you up with a local to fish at a fraction of the cost. We caught a TON of fish, lost a wahoo, filled a cooler full of red eye and snapper.
The only downer is that he comes with you and doesn't pay. He's great company and a decent fisherman.
thats where we stay (the Royal Resorts) :dizzy:
