For those of you heading out in 07'

Here are some pictures from my wyoming antelope trip. What a fun inexpensive hunt. I have a buddy from home who has lived out there for awhile and has hunted there several years, he acted as our guide. We stayed at is place in gillette and hunted public land the second week of october. Great experience I can't wait to go back.

It's an easy to draw tag and as close to guranteed success you'll get. I love the wide open country and the spot and stalk hunts. It's alot of driving and glassing. I'd be a great way to get someone old or young out west for a little adventure.

Great pics, if it were not for a fall bear hunt, I would be heading west this year.

Good for you. Real great Pictures too. We went our to Wyoming two years ago. Four had tags and four scored in two days. What a thrill too. We saw 100-150 a day. A real honor to see them and hunt them. I looked into a guided hunt and at $1300. they said I would score in one to two days on a three day hunt. Then the rest of the time fish and hunt prarie dogs. Why should I pay him $1300? So we drew tags as a group and camped in a 240 square mile BLM land and had a ball. I am headed out again this year if we draw tags (last year we didn't).

Looks like you guy's had a blast. I have made several trips to Wyoming for Antelope & Mule deer. I hunt between Buffalo & Sheridan. As you have shown everyone the country is awesome and the hunting couldn't get much better.

Where are you heading? We'll be just north of Gillette.

We have the 2nd hunt in October. But we'll be there for a couple weeks just playing. That is IF we get our tags.

I hunted out there in 82-83 for mule deer and antelope around Buffalo and had a great time. I hadn't looked into the cost since then but it sounds like its a real affordable trip. We stayed in the Bighorn Mountains and the fishing and scenery was phenominal. As soon as my son gets a little older I can see another trip.

We used a .22 mag and .17 hmr., the 300 rum got some action too :) but wasn't as impressive as you may think. What was sweet was the ruts in the road worked like a hot wheels track, we just cruised along with spent casings bouncing off the dash.
