Went out to Selfridge today. Walked straight out of the launch, made a few moves with no fish. Moved in closer and to the left, picked up a few. Heard Dunlap call on the radio to say he was having a good day to the right of the launch. So I proceeded to make the long trek over by him and was able to pick up some more for a total of ten. Left the ice at six. I should have taken the quad. Oh well.Thax Dunlap for the shout out. Ice is still in very good shape. Tim

Sure did better than we did today....

Started out at sunrise S of the spillway.....6 dinks and 1 keeper
Went to new baltimore......3 dinks and a pair of mudpuppys
Off to cotten (to the S) ......Pretty much ate lunch and packed it in.

Talked to guys at Fairhaven....1 guy had 6.
Went to Brandenburg....Guy I talked with never seen a fish.

Heard metro basin had nothing happening either......

Taking my daughter out this weekend.....Not too optimistic about it, so if anyone found them today Please shoot me a PM. :help:

Sounds like the whole lake was off. We fished St. Luke's and it was poor too.

You should have let me know you moved towards me. I could have put you right on them. Started out at 10:30 with nice fish til 12:30. I moved out deeper and closer to Cotton Rd and never caught a fish. At 3:00 I moved back to my original spot and started catching fish again. Most fish came one at a time with no dinks. Almost all fish came on minnows. Thanks to M&M for giving me a few Ruby Reds. This was the first time I ever fished with them and they are awesome. I finished that day with 30 fish, but I know I lost at least another 20 keeper. I almost landed the largest smallmouth I have ever seen. I have a few pictures in my gallery. I don't know how to reduce the size to included them here. Great day

i'll take the 5 on the bottom right column

good job Dunlap

ruby reds are minnows that actually look like goldfish....more of a red tint to them....tried them a few times, but no success.

thinking of trying them for perch on Erie in the fall

Your Canon is capable of 5 Megapixel pictures. I suggest that you always take the photos in the highest resolution possible. Put the picture on your harddrive and save it to a CD or DVD for safekeeping. Then, use the software that came with the camera to crop, resize, and change the resolution and save the results under a different name. That way you can always go back to the original picture if you want to do something else with the picture. Always keep the original and work on the copies.

Anyways, there are two versions of each of your pictures in your gallery. Here is the smaller version.
