Houghton and Higgins

Just got back from my annual trip North. Houghton prduced the normal hammer handles. I think we caught 6 in 3 hours or so, but a lot of flags out across from the airport. Also tried Higgins for the first time for smelt. We could see a lot of them down there but they just would not bite. It was a cool experience and a lot of fun.

Hey how was the ice up there me and my brother are heading up in the morning for the weekend. We have quads just was wonderning how much slush we are going to run into. Thanks in advance.

The ice was fine. 15 inches plus. There is quite a bit of slush on houhton. Last weekend I heard guys had trouble on Higgins. With the warmer weather this weekend I think the slush will give a lot of problems. Pleanty of ice though.
