Airport Bay this weekend

All right all you Downriver guys. The perch are in the bay. Took a vacation day today, Friday, to head out with my cousin and a couple of other friends. Going to fish today and tomorrow and put some perch in the freezer. Anyone from the site that comes out we will be pretty close to the entrance to the canal, we will have 2 Shappell shanties, one is a DX3000 and I think my buddy Gene's shanty is a 2000? Stop by and give a shout if you have some time.

It was pretty slow out there Tues night / Wed morning.

Probably about 8 shanties and 12 buckets out there in the morning Wed. Everyone moving often. Didn't hear of much caught. Weather was great though. One small boat movin on the open water.

Hopefully you get on 'em.

DownRiver I was out there wed.I was in the Grey Shappell S3000 shanty.I was by myself then a buddy meet up with me.Meet a couple of nice guys out there.Went today with Jimhx and didnt get anything to brag about.Will be out there tomarrow too.Although went didnt get much It was a picture perfect day.Good luck guys and be Safe!!!

Thought sure yesterday would be the day. I was out 2 weeks ago and had 10 on the ice by 11 am then I had to leave. They are in there but I think they are already well-fed. One of the fish I caught yesterday had another big minnow sticking out of his mouth in addition to mine and my jig. Water is VERY cloudy, not what I am used to this time of year. Going to try again today with glongworth and my cousin. Will post tonight.

Looks like today is my last day out there this year.Ice starting to get thin out there in some spots.The perch were there seen a lot but just not as aggresive as the last few days.Between me and my cousin and JIMHX and his cousin I think we had about 20-25 perch.Only a few jumbo but all the rest were nice size fish.I did manage to do something I have wanted to do for the last few ice seasons and land a nice Pike on an ice rod.About 20-21 inches on 3 lb test.Dont think im going to be able to get out any more on the ice this year.But what and ending about 50 perch in the last 4 days and a couple pike.Anyone heading out tomarrow be careful be safe and good luck!Water was really clear today.
