southern walleye help

i am wanting to do a last of the year fish for walleye. can someone help out for a spot to try. been to erie a few times with limited results. i live in southern michigan so im looking for something within a couple hours drive. was thinking about devils lake but i dont know if it safe to bring a quad. any information would be helpfull

14" of ice on Devils as of Tuesday, solid and VERY slick. I'd advise creepers or risk a fall on your ****. I was spinning around my power auger trying to drill holes. Pike were very active and the specks/gills a bit fussy but biteing. As for the walleye I'll never tell, I hear their might be one or two left in the lake.
