Just got my letter and a couple spoons from the DNR for turning in the heads from a couple fin clipped salmon I caught last season here in the UP. 1st one was caught off of Fairport July 15th during our fishing clubs salmon derby. He was a 2 year old that was 27 inches and weighed 9 pounds. The second fish was a 32 inch, 2 year old male that I caught in the Escanaba River October 13th. Both fish came from the Medusa Creek imprint pond. The first one is understandable, but the second is a little more suprising since it was on it's spawning run.
Anyway, thanks for rearing them up. Guess the lure of the UP is too much for even spawning salmon to resist:lol:
