Tawas Bay

I am planning to get up in Hale Oscoda are the weekend of the 17th. Was wondering if anybody knows what might be happening around Tawas Bay. Conditions, action etc.????

NBS, there is plenty of ice on Tawas Bay. They are still driving out from Jerry's on the point. This ice usually hangs in until the end of March or later. Better fishing at last ice, seems slow now . Not many shantys left on the ice. I fished today at the state dock,3-4 in. perch. If you come up US 23 check for cars at the mouth of the Tawas River. They get some Walleye there at times.
