Lunchtime Newburgh

Hit Newburgh for a short time today. Spent most of my lunch hour spudding the 2 picnic tables out of the ice and getting them back to shore before the ice melts. Drilled 2 holes and fished about 20 minutes without a nibble. Had a couple fish come in, but couldn't get them to even look at the bait.

Still better than 1.5' of good ice.

Well...got set up around 11:30 a.m. Drilled about 10 holes or so and none of them produced anything. I marked a few fish about 30 yards from shore in about 15 fow. That's about it. Nothing I threw at em worked. Oh well....nice lunch on the ice, though!!!!

There is a tremendous amount of ice, so it will be here for awhile. I'm up for doing that again soon!!!

You guys let me know and I'll make it! Just minutes from the office and home!!!!

I'd like to focus on this lake for the remainder of the season. I know there's nothing edible in there but wouldn't mind catching and releasing some hawgs!!! Makes for nice pictures!!!!:cwm27:

Good luck with those hoggs! The biggest fish i've caught out of there all winter is a 12" bass but i have caught some nice gills.

Well, good to see I'm not the only one that can't catch anything out there! Ryan is the man on Newburgh. Catches 5 for every one I catch, and that is if I even catch any.

I can't be out there tomorrow unless I can talk the boys into the evening. Maybe Friday at lunch. Wonder where Jeremy is. Might have to walk down and drag him out there, too.

I'll be down there around 4:30 and my buddy should be joining me soon after that i plan to start fishing behind the sherrif office and if we cant get them going there i will move over to the next spot. I drive a red ranger and have a decal of a bass jumping behind the driver seat. Looking forward to meeting you sleepac!

Well, that doesn't make me feel so bad about missing it. My older boy got in a little hot water over not doing some schoolwork, so I got punished to by being forced to stay home. Was going to call you, Ryan, but then my internet went down. Just finally figured out it was a bad phone cable about 10 minutes ago. Didn't have your phone # handy and without the internet, couldn't look it up in my PM's.

I'll be out there this afternoon around 11:30. Let us know how you did on LSC, I'm headed there tomorrow morning.

Well, got blanked at lunch again. Didn't get there until nearly 1pm, stayed until 1:30pm. Way too many meetings. Had some bites, but couldn't hook them.

I caught a lot of fish out on lsc today but sure didn't run in to the slobs. Good luck out there todd. THere are a lot of fish you just have to majorly sort. Look at my post and you can use my holes in the morning. It will be the first set of 4 holes straight out from the jet ski launch at metro. Im going to sleep in tomorrow and then hit it again sunday!
