anyone know the ice conditions on portage by mud bay and the north end? wanted to try 1 more time this year. last time was about a month ago in the bay but the crappie were small still. been out on zukey 3 times in the last week nothing to brag about. small gills in front of zukey marina, small crappie out by devils basin. ice is still 13"-15" in the middle but not so good on the north shore. caught 3 small pike last night in 25 fow, they were about 16"-18" , thought they were walleye cause they were hugging the bottom, jigging rap with a red bead brought them up about 10 feet before they would bite.
