Not sure were to post this since it has nothin to do with big water. I was wondering if there any places around livingston county or its surroundings were there might be some steelhead or trout?

The Clinton and the Huron. I'm not a big fan of Huron, but I a have pulled some nice steelhead outta the Clinton. I know they plant the upper stretches of the Huron with Trout, which usually opens April 1st for C & R only.

If you are in Livingston County, you are at least 35 minutes closer to Grand Rapids than I am. St Joseph and Grand Rapids are two of my go-to places for a reasonable drive and some Steelhead fishing for just one day. There are MANY options between Grand Rapids and Saint Joseph.
If I lived near Brighton, I would rather drive to GR and fish the Grand, or other nearby rivers; than drive to Flat Rock and fish the Huron. I would rather do that on any given day of the year.

If you're going to try the Huron or the Clinton, don't let your expectations get very high.
Consider the Muskegon river at Newaygo - Croton Dam. Only 30 minutes north of Grand Rapids. Beautiful river.
