Im not sure but you may have to zoom on the city Kinderhook in on this map to find the lake closest to I-69.What is the name of it and is there a fairly large dam thats visible from the interstate?

How deep is this coldwater lake and what species of fish are caught there and in the river below this dam?

I can give a report on Silver lake, I was there last week. 12" of good ice, 4" of bad fish. I went to the center and north basins and did alot of searching, found and caught fish everywhere, but they were dinks.

Coldwater Lake is 70+ feet deep in several spots. It has Bluegill, redear sunfish, walleye, largemouth bass, northern pike, black crappie, smallmouth bass and perch. Bluegills and redears get into the 10 inch class. The previous state record redear came from Coldwater. Walleye are spotty and pike are in decent numbers and sizes. Many people fish this lake, most panfish are caught in the back bays and canals. Getting to those areas can be difficult. Hope this helps.

Coldwater Lake has gills, redears, crappie, pike, perch, lm and sm bass and a few walleye and maybe a few tiger muskies. There are several basins up to 90' and a few sunken islands. Go to the DNR website and get a lake map.

You can get lake maps from the DNR web site of most public lakes and some private ones. Go to michigan.gov/dnr and click on fishing then on the table on the bottom click on lake maps. When that comes up click on the county and see if the lake is there.
