Why can't I reply to Licence fee increase 1 & 2. Can some one explain this too me?
As for my thoughts on this subject. I would not mind an increase if the resources were there for us. Most Lakes ar PRIVATE orthey are all sports lakes..impossable to fish without getting run over. All the good hunting farm land is growing Houses or it's all private no hunting. And state land...good place to get shot too many crazies

I'll venture a guess, but I cannot speak for the Mod's.
1. Some misinformation was posted
2. It went off-topic a little
3. Some smart-*** started talking about BOOBS!!!

If you're talking about the latest.......among many....of the threads about the proposed license fee increases one was closed because the member's question/suggestion was answered and further discussion was pointless other than that derived from pure arguement.
The second was closed because it was an attempt by a member to circumvent the closing of the first one.

Michigan has hundreds of thousands of public land acres to hunt. I have been doing it for 40 years never been close to being shot. Michigan has more shoreline then Florida not to mention public acess sites on lakes in every county in the state.
Check the great state of Texas to see how much public land they have. Then call around or see what it cost to lease land for hunting because the land is all tied up. You live in a state that has spoiled people as far as public acess is concerned. Most people do not think twice about the cost of shells or other hunting or fishing equipment. However, our hunting and fishing licenses give us year around acess to enjoy the out doors in this state and we sportsmen and women do not know what we have until you go out of state to see what they have. I'll bet there is public acess within ten miles of wherever you live. So, I just have to say you have got to be kidding me when you say you "wouldn't mind if the resources are there".
And, no I do not work for the state. I am a working stiff who just appreciates what we have here. I have seen people who buy boats in states that do not have anything resembling a public lake within 40 miles.
