I'm having a problem with clarity after downsizing the pics to fit the criteria of the site. It seems that by reducing them, several pixels are mixed and give them a swimmy appearance.
Is there a way to get around this?
The camera is set at it's lowest size (640x480) and the Quality is on high.

I'm also having problems. I reduced the pic size to get below 100k and ended up with a pixel width of 202. The pic looks fuzzy. Any ideas how I can reduce the memory used and increase the pixel width???

Reduce number of colors (usually an option people are not that happy with).
Crop out stuff that you can spare from the picture (sky, boat, water) This can keep your resolution and clarity while reducing the file size by omitting kbs that you don't really care about
Use a higher rate of jpeg compression (not available in all software)

Thats what I first do, is crop out any areas not pertaining to the subject. I have found it greatly reduces the kb's used.

Figured it out
All enhancements need to be done prior to downsizing.
I did it after and the results were very poor.
Now I need to change them in the gallery and try to re-write my Harbor Beach Post.
Thanks Clay and Amos
