double trouble

we started out in 7 cloudy feet of water left of the day sail ramp. not a bite. moved to 5 cloudy foot. not a bite. we moved in to about 4 foot where the water was a little cleaner and the holes were just full of fish. never had more than 3 minutes without fish in the holes.fished 8-1. of the 300 we caught or chased away , 90 percent were dinks ,but we did manage a few decent ones too. they would bite on anything, a bare hook, spike, you name it. the big ones wanted my jiggin rap and the largest ones hit the rap when i tipped it with a minnow. the fish were so thick you could not see bottom. we got one to jump out of the water chasing a spike.
I took home 17 from 7.5 to 9.5. could have taken 50 . I did see a few larger ones too.
go left from the day sail ramp maybe a block or 2 until you see 2 permanent shanties. one is wood and the other is blue canvas with a wood frame. about 100 yards off shore. fish right next to the blue one. for guys that know the area ,its right off the rocks.
we talked to a few people and the bite was off today. I guess we just happened to hit a good spot. we did see a bunch of guys short of the point and they were in shallow too. If i were you, plan on staying in close. that wind really clouded up the water. good luck for the weekend.
