View Full Version : Vexilar V-400 charger?

Anyone use this charger? Is it supposed to be a trickle charger...meaning it can be left on?

The V-400 automatic smart charger is an easy way to quickly charge Vexilar batteries as well as other brands. It automatically shuts off the charge and switches to a maintenance mode when the battery gets full. This 1 amp charger is also fully protected from reverse or shorted connections.


I thought they said something on the DVD about not keeping it on longer than 48 hours though. I've been plugging mine in after it warms up when I get home, then unplugging it in the morning just to be safe.

Yeah I know that about the supplied charger but this is supposed to be an upgraded charger.

i keep mine on until the red light comes on.

The V-400 came with my FL8 ProPack 2. It might be an upgrade for other
packages, but standard with the ProPack.

I would bet that you are fine keeping it on the charger for an extended period of time after the light turns green, especially if you are using it frequently. I wouldn't leave it plugged in for something like a couple of weeks though.
