Help decoding some coordinates

Hopefully I am posting this in the correct forum. I have been doing some research and going through some DNR reports that have been posted to the web. One of these reports lists locations and they are using some type of coordinates.

They look like this:
T24N, R2W, S5

Could anyone help me out on how this would be decoded?

Section 5 Township 24 north, Range 2 West


Google michigan Township and range map, or go to the Michigan CGI and you should be able to determine the location.
