Hello all,

I have been using my H20C with the Navionics chip for ice fishing and it has really helped!

Now my question is whether or not there is an SD card out there for the roads througout the U.S. I would love to be able pop that chip in the next time I head up north. Just wondering what is available for my unit. I have not been successful searching online, so I figured some of you guys might be able to point me in the right direction.

Thank you!

Seriously, go back to the place you purchased it and ask there. I know very little about Lowrance products--sorry I can't help.

I have the 60 csx with us topo and the lakemaster pro. For michigan roads the lake master is way better, also sweet on the lakes.

Yes, Lowrance makes a topo card, but access on their site doesn't let you see examples of use like the Garmin site does.

I just made a trip to AZ and back, and my H20c worked quite well with the map that comes loaded on the unit. I have a Lakemaster chip of Michigan also. If you will be using interstates, US highways, state highways and major roads the pre loaded map will work just fine, in fact in areas like Chicago it is better than a map with more information, because of less clutter on the small screen.

Now with the Lakemaster Michigan chip, it shows great detail of most roads in Michigan, even the lesser roads. The Lakemaster Michigan chip is $100, and is a great fishing chip. Map Create is about the same price and allows you to make some very high detail maps of the entire US, with all kinds of point of interest information that you won't get on the Lakemaster map.

Bottom line, Lakemaster if you fish, Map Create for the roads. Or just use what is pre loaded if you will be using the major roads in the US. Get the unit, try it out and then decide.

I have Map Create for my h20 and it is great. It comes with six cd's. You can identify the area you want to travel and download that info onto a sd card. I have one card with just MI on it. The points of interest can be useful for long road trips as it will let you know what businesses, resturants and hotels are coming up on future exits. The address to include the telephone numbers for calling ahead to make reservations is also a bonus.

Thanks for all the info. Sorry I haven't replied sooner, sorta forgot to check this forum.

The Map Create sounds great, since I already have the Navionics chip. Maybe in the near future I'll scrounge up the dough for the Map Create. Is there a specific version just for Lowrance? How much does the version 7 run? Thanks again!
