Warm temps, Very high winds today 26 mph with gust to 45:( rain comming and lots of snow melt off. Its killing our season fast. Today we will lose allot of ice in the center of the lake. this will make it more hazardous with ice break off's at the pressure cracks.

I was out at crocker yesterday and the ice was a good foot to 16 inches. Nice clear ice and the wind was blowing off the lake making it colder then 32* where I was fishing. It will be interesting to see what happens.

The way the year started out, I'm thankful we got what we had.

Just think.... As much as we love ice this may be a blessing in descise......... I cant wait to give handlining my first try.
Anyone wana take a newbie out?

That is what I was thinking. feel free to give me a bump when the river clears. I don't care if its snowing and cold. As long as the river is clear of ice burgs. A Canadian license is a must.

I'm in Clinton Township and the wind is really kicking here, weatherman said gusts up to 40/45 mph and lasting till about 7 pm.

Yeah, this wind is something.
We had a plan for today, but decided to put it off till tomorrow. I will be out in front of SANG in the pm until around 4:30. If anyone is out there, I will have the radio on 07

The bad thing is: some of the wind still equals 25 mph. It's HOWLIN out there.

i'm back, that was alot of wind , nothin but small ones!
the wind made it tough to fish!
gonna try agian tomorrow, if they let me!:lol:
