The bite was on today at metro Beach. Here are my 25. The second photo are the fillets from the catch. One time I will post the pic of the fillets frying in the pan.
The little jigs are what I used today. Very simple to make. A drop of solder on a #8 hook and a quick dip in powdercoat if needed. Used minnows and spikes. Both worked good. Couldnt work two poles it got so hectic.
Seven FOW. Not in front.

Nice catch! I appreciate the info. on your setup as well! I use something similar looking to the red powdercoated jig you have, but i use a jenson egg.
Keep on keeping on!

Good job! My son was out for a short while in the evening but didn't do nearly as well. Sounds like you had a good spot! :)

I took 27 out of there and was most likely south from where jr. was fishing. Lots of action and sorting..

Did pretty good at metro also, was my 1st trip up there this year, met a younger gentlemen at the bait shop who guided us to the fish, whoever that was thanks. Ended up with 20 real nice perch and about 30 throw backs. I mainly caught mine on a ice spreader with minnows, my brotha caught his on a big green tear drop with a whole minnow on it.

'Not in front" I guess means the basin or one of the two marinas?
