I've been doing good this year, but alot of little ones, had to do some sorting. You have to move around alot, some days I get them at metro, other days cotton rd, or geno's.
Monday I started out at cotton rd, drilled 5 holes and fished for a hour and a half with nothing. I ended up at metro and caught 80 and kept 40. If I dont catch a fish in 20 minutes I'm gone.
I've only been skunked once this year and thats the day my buddy brought his shanty and didnt want to move.
Best advice I can give is stay mobile and move till you find them.

OOps sorry didnt relize you didnt know the area.
Find Jefferson rd and look for public accsess areas along it. Jefferson runs all along lake st clair from one end to the other except for where it is blocked by the air base.
Try metro beach to start at 16 mile rd and jefferson.
