To all my fellow anglers I want to remind you to stay healthy out there. I went out last weekend and will miss another week due to pneumonia! Ice fishing can be physically challenging. After walking a mile in foot deep snow towing 60 lbs of gear can make anyone sweat. Then you gotta drill a hole once you get to your spot. I did learn no matter your age or fitness level, you need to take it easy. My brother is 19 and just won a strongman competition. He even said that it was a tough walk out there. The season may be over for me now. Thanks to everyone on the site for your advice. Please listen to mine and stay healthy!

Get better soon so you can be ready for the start of soft water! Hope you get better quick!

:yeahthat: I agree, the same thing happened to me a few years ago. I pulled my shanty out about a half mile and it snowed about 5 inches while I was fishing and the walk back put me in bed for a few days. I hope you feel better soon, with some luck you'll be back out in a couple weeks or so.
