Go about it the right way and you may get somewhere...
All posting a spot in the forum does is move the masses. I have learned that asking politely in a pm can pay dividends.

Yes some holes will stay active for a time, but eventually they will poop .out.There are so many anglers on the ice some will hit a honey hole some will not. That's the way it goes.

Postings above, rule #1 is no sportsman, rule #2 is a real sportsman. It is hard to come across a real sportsman that is willing to share info, instead of lying to another fisherman. Their is alot of fish in the lake, I wont steal all of them, just want a few if I'm lucky enough. Still p---ed off about a fellow I talked to about how to safely entering the ice, and he told me he had not been out there for two weeks, but I over heard him telling his buddy about how he did there yesterday. What a A-hole.

What is the point of posting how good you did if you’re not willing to give a location?
I thought this was a fishing report forum not a bragging board.
Besides, the way the perch travel in LSC they probably won't be in the same location by the time someone else goes!!!

It is up to the poster's descretion whether they want to post their locales or not...All of us who have been here a long time know what happens when we disclose locations, the droves are there the next day...With all these views, he would have people in each of the 40 holes he augered and than many dozens more...Just like a hole on a river, you wouldn't want 8 people in a hole you had to yourself would you??? Same thing here. Many don't understand how many people view these threads, and then tell their friends who will tell their friends and there are 300 people in this little area...Please try to understand your fellow "sportsmen"...The internet is powerful....Try a PM
BTW, good job on the fish, Yellowbelly, your persistance is paying dividends...;)...Apologies for the rant, but please understand the reasons...

I don't see why when asked "where did you go out at?" Why it comes down to "Where you have to pay $3.00 to park"
My point is just say Genos or SANG or Fairhaven. I,of course, would not expect specific hole locations. And I don't think anyone else should expect that either. I used to get quite a bit of ice fishing in and I understand what you are saying. If I ask, I only want a taking off point and a direction. I can do well for myself from there.;)

O for God's sake. You guys don't get it. The fish are Shallow!!!!. 10 guys in a "new" area, can spook all the perch out of the area. 50 guys and and all on the ice will be saying "man the fishing sux"
I gave Yellowbelly my GPS Cords. I'm Glad and appreciate he didn't splatter it all over the internet for a 1000 weekend fisherman to congregate on a football size spot. Here is a hint. This spot is Shallow. It's by Geno's. Like he said.
If you post a "sportsman spot" in shallow water, the fish are GONE! If it's deep water then all is good, all will get there share and the general area is posted. Its a shame it has to be posted like this. Information is hard work and earned. Yellowbelly gave more then his share of spots and information .
Plus he is a wise enough fisherman to realize what a spot can handle.
Sometimes I think some of you guys ((Not all)) need to get out of the shanty or at least attempt a move to find fish. A lot of guys get the heat/beer/minnows going and see a few fish. Whoopee lets stay! that is great and fun fishing. The spot I gave Yellowbellie, on th day I found it I drilled 28 holes "each a move" I got fish, where everyone else was but wasn't happy. I moved until I found fish. YEP it took me 8 hrs. and a lot of work but I got my limit!!!
I posted to help all in 05 and got a lot of heat from others ! I knew the lake and where the jumbos were located could handle the pressure of a full Metro/Genos/crocker assault. It worked out fine. Trust me If we (almost sportsman) can give the info """OPEN net"" we will. Until then leave Yellowbellie alone. He did more than most Giving a hint where to find them and has contributed more to the site than most Bitching about him:rolleyes:
Get out and Fish for God's sake and get off the net. The fish aren't here;)
