Have not fished there before, and was thinking of going out tommorow or Thursday. My question is if you can fish some good areas by walking or do you have to have a quad or snowmobile and go way out?? Is there a big parking area (any fee??) and do you walk out from a launch site?? I see references to piers, ect.. Any info would be appreciated...

I live not far from Brandenberg, and I always walk. I believe they have a daily fee to get in, but they have a very large parking lot.
Brandenberg seems to have slowed down. I was slaying em there for a few weeks and catching all I wanted to clean.
I am not sure where to tell you to fish. Last Sunday I decided to go south of the park and was very lucky to catch 27 fish. Reports around here say that north of the pier (left as you are facing away from shore) was slow as well.
In any case if they are still there, today should be a good day. Low wind, over-cast and some drizzle this afternoon. I hope I can get out of work and cash in myself.
Good luck.

Parking is free. North in close from the latest reports I'm getting. Everything is subject to change though. Archer is right. Things have slowed down.

Fished north of the park for a couple of hours after work Tuesday and didn't even see a fish. I talked to a fair number of fishermen coming off the ice, and nobody I talked to did any good.
