Hello all,

Thanks to the responses I got on the 9 mile area earlier. I know most don't have access to that area. Today was slow. Fished from 12 until around 5. We got access at a park in Grosse Point. There was a canal out to the lake, and 9 mile tower was just to our north. We headed out to the point to the left and eventually moved towards Ford's Cove. Saw 1 school of fish all day and only landed 5. All dinks. Still a good day until ....

I got back to Royal Oak to drop off my buddy and realized I lost my tackle bag. It's just a small wading bag that sort of looks like a fanny pack. It has 2 little tackle containers in it full of swedish pimples, kens hooks, tear drops, some bobbers, hooks, sinkers and other various tackle. I am so mad that we lost it. It was on top of our minnow bucket that my friend tipped over as he pulled the jet sled along. He was about 100 yds behind me at the time. He must not have noticed that the bag fell out and I didn't realize until it was too late.

If anyone finds it please let me know. It's between the Fords Cove and the opposite point to the North, just south of 9 mile.I know it's a long shot, but I figured I'd try!

I'll be heading out again on Wednesday. Probably Cotton Rd.

Thanks,

MDH

I am actually about to head out there. It's a long drive, but I have the day off and i need to at least look for it. Looks like I'm going fishing for a tackle bag today! Hope I have good luck.

Cool, good news!

I lost a ice fishing box a few years back with all my bigger jigs as well as all my jigging rapalas. I know the feeling.

How was the ice between Ford's Cove and 9 Mile Road? I live in Grosse Pointe Woods so I can get on the ice at the park wich is just north of Ford's Cove and drive my 4 wheeler down to the 9 Mile area. Is the ice thick enough to use my 4 wheeler?

If I get out there I will be sure to look for your tackle bag.

I'm glad he got it back. I suspected that the ice in the area south of 9 Mile Road wasn't safe for a 4 wheeler.

Hello Perchguy!

I was thinking about you when I headed out there yesterday. I had a great time fishing with you this past summer.

As for the ice, it seemed thick everywhere we went yesterday. There were a couple soft/slushy spots. The fishing wasn't that good, but at least I found my bag! Good luck to you next time you go out. I'm headed out in the morning, but I haven't figured out where yet.

Thanks,
