Go to Wellston the go to Pappi's sign up and fish, not sure what day sign up deadline is,wont be able to make it myself,Not to much goes on this time a year, but fish are up there, got a few more weeks till there really up to any par.My buddy Bill goes on regular basis, like 300 days a year he is on that river, well at least 75% of the week ends and a few weeks here and there,This tourny is mainly to have a good time. Look Pappi's up for the #.
Pappys annual big fish contest. Happens every year the last sat in feb. Been going on for many years. Used to be just a small event but has become pretty popular the last five or six yrs now.

Big Man Report from Today.
Fished Tippy to 3 sisters in boat.
Water medium low, no self ice, and cold 32.5 water temp.
We fished floats and pulled plugs. Two trout. Fished 7 hours. Really hammered some normally good holes.
It is going to get cold again. Good Luck this weekend. I dont have an ice report for down river.

They have 2 different divisions, one for boat and one for bank fishermen. Not sure if its changed since i fished it but each person can weigh there 3 biggest fish and then they have big fish for a male and big fish for female.
Talked to a good freind who fished yesterday and he did really good.

My brother and nephew ended up in 2nd place for the tourny, they landed 14 fish all on spawn. Biggest fish they caught was just over 10 lbs.

well, this is how it is.... I took second place for big fish boat(11.55 lb male). We fished from bear creek up to udel but caught most of our fish below udel. fishing center pins with jigs and wax worms. went 9 for 10 with my friend in the boat and took two limits to the scales for the tourney. good times. had a big snow storm sunday so we couldnt fish but was able to get out monday morning... went to same holes and went 10 for 14 . over all not a bad two day fish for the winter time.
