Was at Home depot this morning, an saw a Dyna-glow heater(same size as the big Mr. Heater). It has been there for the last 2 weeks. So I asked for a further discount to take it off there hands. Got it for $70.

nice buy! About 3 years ago we bought the Dyna-Glow sunflower heater (for 20# tank) and would buy one again if I can find one. They are hands down MUCH better than the Mr. Heaters, IMO. Anyone klnow where they sell them?

It looks just like the Mr. Heater Big Buddy. It has two ceramic heat panels. I took one out of the box to hook a hose too, just to make sure it would work with my Mr. Heater portable buddy.
I think they were at $79 and they had a whole pallet of them.

Meijers has the dyno glo right now for $53 . My buddy got his last year for $24 on clearance. I have two now and I am very pleased with them. I am going to watch and see if I can't get the deal my buddy did.

P.S. Due to quick flooding mid deer season my dyno heater was submerged for several weeks in water until we could get to it. Once we got to it dried it out and cleaned it up works FINE!.

I just happened to be in the Dearborn (Mich Ave) HD after work today and was rummaging through the clearance stuff. I ran across a cart with two Dyna-Glo heaters in it. One was in a box, the smaller one, single bottle type. The box was pretty beat up, but I figured I'd get a price anyway. I ended up getting it for $50. It was a return, but like new. I bought a bottle and tried it out. It wouldn't light at first, but after cleaning a little soot off the thermocouple, it worked fine. There was another one there, the bigger one that holds two bottles. No box, but it looked like it was all there. You could probably get it for cheap.
As a side note, when I was at Bass Pro last week I noticed a sign by the heaters telling everyone that uses a large bottle (20 or 30Lb) for their small heater to always run a filter in-line to keep debris and moisture out of the gas oriface. I guess the larger bottles are prone to having small bits of stuff in them that can plug up the smaller heaters, unlike a bar-b-que grill.
