what are the laws for orv's on the ice in michigan
1) do you need an orv sticker to be on the ice?
2) how about ins?
3) helmet and passengers?
why i'm asking this question's is , if you need an sticker to drive orv on the ice. why don't all the car's and truck's need one also? the way i understand if you drive a truck on a designated off road trail that permits trucks , it needs a sticker am i wrong ?
i walk when ice fishing , but i do have a quad i only use it around my home so i don't get a sticker . but would take, it if i don't need one (i'm cheap) can't see buying one for the 1 or 2 months of safe ice.

fish report ) fished sun morn. (palms rd)daylight to 11:00 kept 27 a couple 10" rest around 9" using minnows ,jensen ,spikes small jig i'd jig minnow to get em in the hole then drop egg or spike down to get em to hit the minnows they were not taking all the way so i'd miss em . about a 1 to 1.5 straight out and right from dnr launch felt like 15 miles today i feel beat up (im' out of shape or getting older yea ok both)thats the reason for the first question?
this is the longest post you will ever see from me took me an hour to type it lol

Need a helmet for the driver and passenger only if on the Atv (2 SEATER)
No need for helmets for passengers in a sled or trailer.
Yes, you need an ORV sticker or risk a possible ticket.
