Fished daybreak to dark with a buddy...might as well not been there until about 3pm. That's when all heck broke loose...iced 68 nice perch 7-10" from 3pm until about 6:30. Threw back a ton of shorties. Fished shallow in about 3 1/2 feet of water, headed right from the launch and walked about a mile maybe mile and a half and set up about 400 yards from shore.

Had a bunch of guys ride quads within 10 feet of the shanty which would normally tick me off, but it seems like every time one went by it would push the fish right to our holes.

I noticed the same thing at Brandenburg on Saturday. Normally I get a little pissed, but when the school was under us, they didn't leave for the traffic going by. I guess I just figure with so much traffic, where are they gonna run to?

Yeah, we did well in that area on Saturday. 4 guys over 140 keepers, not to mention the dinks we threw back.....Sight fishing, and taking the baits away from the dinks, and giving it to the SLOBS. My neck was sore for a day after that......Anyways, you gotta do, what you gotta do.....

Me and dad was also there on Sunday. Was slow all day, was hoping to get an evening bite like you did, but instead it completely died past about 4. Made a few moves, ended up with 20 keepers between 2 people all day long, very slow stuff. It seems they were very scattered, schools of 5-10 fish would move through, you would get a couple, then nothing for a while. Never hit that big school though. Was using a jiggin rap with bead, halis and small jigs tipped with minnows and jay spoons. Talking to people on the way back, pretty same ol same ol slow. Will probably go to ginos or cotton next time, don't like the crowds, lack of weeds, and shallow depths at SANG.
