Good Ice In March?

I am headed up to a lake that is east of Grayling near the Mio area the week of March 5th. Just wondering if there should still be good ice by then? I have not been up there this year, just looking on what the conditions are and what you guys think. Thanks

Yes, it'll be fine. I've fished up until mid march down here last year, I believe the 16th, and that was sag. bay. The prior year, I fished on march 31st, and that was oakland county, so you'll be fine. I'm fishing Hubbard lake that same weekend. by the way, I see you're a fellow bronco, you hitting any of the local lakes? I've done well on pike out on Wolf Lake, its just north of the fish hatchery on M-43. Go Broncos.

Checked my notes and it looks like I was still fishing newaygo county last year March 15. You should be ok.

It sure depends where you are went out back off the dock at the condo Thursday we had 11 inches of Ice today 7 inches and it is soft a lot of current the creeks must be starting to get some run off
